Sockers FC Goal Keepers

The Goalkeeper training at Sockers FC is one of the most crucial in the game. The Goalkeeper must perform the most dynamic movements of any player with the most risk.

Program

I.- Specific goalkeeper instruction sessions (preparation, distribution, shot stopping and crosses).

II.- Intra team training (working with defenders, positioning, set pieces etc).

III.- U7-11 gain valuable exposure to the goalkeeping without any pressure to commit to the position.

IV.- U12+ minimum of two goalkeeping specific session per week available.
Advice to stimulate development and regular feedback from coaches.

V.- In game tuition.

VI.- Goalkeeping specific fitness sessions.

Ivan Heredia

Assistant Director of Goalkeeping. Heredia has been with Big Cat Goalkeeping since 2012. Heredia who in his youth spent time at Mexican club Atletico Morelia. Heredia has recently been working and sharing development ideas with goalkeeping staff from Blackburn Rovers and Sporting CP. Heredia has coached at the Academy, ECNL, NCAA level and has also had experience at Illinois based US Training Centers.

Brad Swenby

Playing experience: 3-year letter winner (2000-02) in goal for UW-Milwaukee. Following his collegiate career, Swenby played Goalkeeper for the Minnesota Thunder of the A-League, winning the Western Conference before losing to the Charleston Battery in 2003 Finals. Most recently, he was invited into pre-season camp with the Kansas City Wizards in March, 2010.

Brad lives in Chicago with his girlfriend Theresa and newborn daughter. Lucia. He supports Arsenal as well as the USMNT. Brad enjoys playing the guitar, learning piano, boxing, and experimenting in the kitchen and grill, creating dishes with close friends.
